History, undo & versions
Before every change the studio makes, it saves a version of the symbol first — so looking back and going back are both always available.
Steps
- Open History in the inspector, next to the tool's own pane: every saved version, newest first, with the current one marked.
- Press Save version now before trying something risky and give it a name you will recognise later.
- Name any automatic version too — an editor save, a cut, a paint apply, an assistant request all land here.
- Pin a version you want kept for good; only the twenty newest automatic ones survive as the list fills up.
- Restore rebuilds the symbol from that point — and saves the state you are leaving as a restore point first, so you can come straight back.
Tips
- Undo / Redo in the top bar are for unsaved edits in the open tool; History is for everything that was already saved.
- Restoring is never destructive: the version you leave is kept, so trying an old state costs you nothing.
