Backgrounds & scenes
A background is a pair of ordinary symbols — one desktop, one portrait — so a scene can be cut, animated and exported with exactly the tools you already know.
Steps
- On a project's page, press Create background and give the scene a name.
- Drop an image into the Desktop slot (16:9 · 1920×1080).
- Drop one into the Portrait slot (9:16 · 1080×1920) — the two aspects are separate images of the same scene, not a crop of each other. Either slot may stay empty; the missing aspect can be added later from the background's card.
- Press Create. Each aspect becomes its own symbol, named <scene>-desktop and <scene>-portrait.
- Open either one and work it like any symbol: cut the parts that should move, animate them, add ambient effects such as glow, embers or drifting flow.
- Export each aspect on its own, or the whole project at once with Export project.
Tips
- Backgrounds want ambient, looping motion rather than reactions — ask the Assistant for a slow drift and keep the amplitude small.
- Generating a backdrop from a description is part of the art generation that is not open on a normal account yet; upload your scene art for now.
