Export — Spine package & clip video
Export packs the finished skeleton, atlas and textures into a ZIP for your game's Spine runtime — and the Preview window saves any clip as a video.
Steps
- Open Export from the editor with E, or from the Export action on a project page.
- Pick a texture ratio — 100%, 75%, 50% or 25% — and check the resulting page size shown under it.
- Choose ZIP (PNG) for an editable source you can open and tweak later.
- Choose ZIP (KTX2) instead for GPU-compressed textures that stay small in VRAM on mobile runtimes.
- Wait for the download, then close the panel. Export project on a project page does the same for every built symbol at once.
- For a video, play the clip in Preview and press the download button in its header — the player records what you are watching as a 1080p, 60 fps MP4 (Chrome and Edge).
Tips
- Exporting is free and unlimited — it never spends credits, on any plan.
- KTX2 needs a Basis transcoder in your runtime (spine-pixi and spine-web ship one); when in doubt, ship PNG.
- Using the export with the Spine Runtimes or the Spine editor is subject to Esoteric Software's licence terms, which generally require a Spine Editor licence — you are responsible for yours. See the FAQ: “Do I need a Spine licence?”
